Brazil

"Brazil" is a1985 science fiction black comedy was written and directed by Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame.  Set in a dystopian world in which there is an over-reliance on poorly maintained machines and where people found guilty of crimes are liable for the costs of their interrogation, the film is satire of technocracy, bureaucracy, and hyper-surveillance reminiscent of George Orwell's 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four
