Meet our New Intern

Hello! My name is Yamani Ward, and I am a senior at Frostburg State University majoring in Recreation & Parks Management with a minor in Small Business/Entrepreneurship.

I am involved with 100% Triumph Campus Ministry, where I serve as the Student Engagement Coordinator. I also contribute to organizations such as the Sierra Student Coalition, Food Recovery Network, and W.O.M.E.N., a women-led feminist organization. Recently, I was also hired to work on the Technical Crew at the Lane Center.

My career goal is to become a Recreation Director. I absolutely love organizing and planning events and programs that bring people together and positively impact the community. Outside of school and work, some of my hobbies include going on walks, writing poetry and making music, having Bible study, spending time with friends, biking, paddleboarding, and participating in anything recreational!

I am really looking forward to making a difference with FrostburgFirst, and I cannot wait to see where this amazing opportunity takes me!
